Christian Community Ministries (CCM) has a workforce of more than 1,250 staff across a growing network of Christian schools. CCM owns and operates thirteen schools (eight in Queensland, one in New South Wales, three in South Australia and a two-campus school in Western Australia), early learning (childcare) centres associated with five schools in Queensland, a campsite and outdoor education provider based in Queensland and a national Registered Training Organisation (RTO). The aim of CCM is to provide a values-based, Christian education for all who desire it.

About the Role

CCM Central Administration Office is seeking to fill the role of Early Childhood Services Coordinator. This is a new position which is available for immediate commencement.


CCM is an Approved Provider under Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) national law, providing under-school-age education and care, as well as school-aged care services, via registered ECEC Services in Queensland at:

  • Chinchilla Christian College - Kindergarten

    • term time program for 4- to 5-year-old children

  • Dalby Christian College - Early Learning Centre

    • 48+ weeks per year for children 36 months to school aged

    • outside school hours and vacation programs for primary-school-aged children

  • Groves Christian College - Early Learning Centre

    • 48+ weeks per year for children 36 months to school aged

    • before school hours care for primary-school-aged children

  • Groves Christian College - Kindergarten

    • term time program for 4- to 5-year-old children

  • Groves Christian College - School Aged Care 

    • after school hours care and vacation care program for primary-school-aged children

  • Livingstone Christian College - Early Learning Centre 

    • 48+ weeks per year for children from 6 weeks to school aged

    • outside school hours care and vacation care programs for primary-school-aged children

  • Staines Memorial College - Kindergarten

    • term time program for 4- to 5-year-old children

  • Whitsunday Christian College - Outside School Hours Care

    • after school hours care and vacation care program for primary-school-aged children


A new early learning centre is currently under construction at Seaview Christian College in Port Augusta, South Australia. This service is expected to initially provide a term-time program for 4- to 5-year-old children, commencing in the second half of 2024 (subject to obtaining ECEC regulatory approvals). 


The Early Childhood Services Coordinator role is being established to:

  • provide oversight and coordination regarding ECEC Approved Provider regulatory requirements;

  • support, guide and mentor ECEC service leaders to deliver early childhood education and care services consistent with the ACECQA National Quality Framework; and

  • facilitate effective whole of organisation administrative and communication processes regarding ECEC services.

 

The position will be based at the CCM Central Administration Office, reporting to the CCM Compliance Manager. The role includes an expectation of direct engagement with ECEC service directors and staff at each College (school) as well as close collaboration with local College-level leadership staff and CCM Central Services teams. Appointment will be via an Individual Agreement contract, with remuneration anticipated to be comparable to an ELC Director under the CCM Schools Enterprise Agreement.

This is a full-time role, based at the CCM Central Office in Kingston, Queensland. An appointee to the role must be a committed Christian – holding a personal Christian faith, actively involved in their local church community and willing to support the Christian ethos of CCM. This includes accepting and supporting CCM’s lifestyle requirements and Statement of Faith. Applications close Monday, 11 March 2024.

  • a permanent resident; or

  • a holder of an appropriate permit (visa) to work in Australia.

A non-citizen applicant, currently residing in Australia or overseas, must have capacity to fulfil Australian Government visa and entry requirements in order to be considered for employment.
